David Young, Vice Chair

 Hometown: I was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, lived in Pittsburgh, and moved to Rockville, Maryland, when I was 5.

My Story: I grew up attending the Presbyterian church at the corner of Georgia Ave. and Bel Pre Road. This was followed by four years at West Virginia Wesleyan College ('87) finishing with a double major in Economics and Marketing. Professionally, I'm in sales leadership responsible for the DoD / Intelligence market. Katie and I have been attending OEUMC since 1998, and while participating in a Disciple 1 class, I discovered my friendship with Christ. 

 

Ministry Area: Church Council Vice Chair

 

Family: Married Katie (Pastor of Youth Ministries) on May 16, 1992.  We have two awesome boys; Taylor, a freshman at Good Counsel, and Rob, a 7th grader at Rosa Parks.

 

Passion: Being God's tool; leading men to Christ.

 

Favorite Pastime Activities: Being a husband, dad and friend. Anything outdoors, spherical sports.

 

Little-Known Fact: I was a tour guide in the U.S. Capitol.
