ASP is a longstanding youth service project at Oakdale Emory. OEUMC-ASP volunteers' mission is a year-long commitment made by high school aged youth volunteers and adult group leaders. Service occurs each year in June and sends teams of youth, with adult sponsors, to Appalachia to repair homes and witness to God’s love. This outstanding opportunity for youth to learn to serve and share has done much to introduce our youth to a life of service.  Some discover talents they never knew they had and some learn life lessons that would be missed without this experience. Adult sponsors find the experience as rewarding as the youth.

Volunteers participate in several fundraising activities during the year starting in September.
