United Methodist Men
| The Oakdale Emory United Methodist Men support the mission statement of the church, to make and empower disciples of Jesus Christ, by becoming the hands and heart of our Lord on Earth. The men are organized to perform service to the greater Olney area and to the world through the many service projects supported annually. Ministries include the Appalachia Service Project, Adults in Mission, Meals for Millions, Wheelchair Escort Service at Asbury UMC home, and support of Habitat for Humanity. |

The men enjoy sponsoring a number of church events such as the Sweetheart Dinner in February, and giving away Mother’s Day flowers to all the ladies of the church. Each Christmas, the men assemble and participate in the Living Nativity. To support these various missions, the United Methodist Men provide monthly church breakfasts and sell bagged mulch each spring. |
