Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry program equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing crises or difficulties in their lives.  These tough times may include:

Loss of a loved one
Divorce or separation
Spiritual crises
Terminal illness
Aging
Chronic illness
Unemployment or job crisis
And many more
 
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry.  The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private.  Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of training on emotional and spiritual care.  They meet with their carereceivers faithfully for about an hour each week for as long as there is a need.  The entire team meets twice each month for peer supervision and continuing education.
