Pastoral Visitation Team
The Pastoral Visitation Team follows Christ's vision of caring for one another in Christian love by equipping all members of the Oakdale Emory congregation to care for and minister to the needs of small groups, to communicate the needs of individuals facing emergencies or the need for immediate, short-term care. Individual needs are addressed in a timely fashion based upon priorities articulated by those accessing the visitation system.
The key to activating OE's emergency notification system is calling the church number, 301-774-2030. Leave word with the secretary or, in the evening or on weekends, you will hear how you may leave a message that will immediately get to a member of the team.
Individuals working within this ministry group will make hospital visits, follow-up with contacts, call on prospective members, refer needs to other small groups, and call or visit shut-ins on a reguar basis.
