Dependent and Revelation
Dependent
Dependent is one of Oakdale's youth worship bands. Dependent became a reality in the winter of 2005 when a group of youth stepped out of the boat to take on the challenges of a new worship ministry. They offer their gifts that God has given them to empower disciples for Christ. They named themselves Dependent because we are all dependent on Christ.
The members of Dependent have shared their musical gifts in the sanctuary with the adult congregation, but mainly focus their style of music to the youth so that they may experience God in a way that is upbeat, exciting and relevant to their generation.

Revelation
Revelation is one of Oakdale's youth worship bands. Revelation began in fall of 2009 to begin training and raising up the next generation of worship leaders and musicians. They offer their gifts that God has given them to empower disciples for Christ. The band name, Revelation, comes from the description of the throne of heaven in Revelation 4. John writes of the persistent, unending, genuine worship of God taking place in heaven. The worship is described as happening all day and all night without hesitation or pause. The band is hoping that through their musical offerings, others will learn and experience the importance of a strong, consistent relationship with Jesus Christ.
The members of Revelation focus their style of music to the youth so that they may experience God in a way that is upbeat, exciting and relevant to their generation.
