Jane Ann DePas
Hometown: Greasy Ridge Road, Chesapeake, Ohio
My Story: A country girl who grew up to be a flight attendant based in New York City. Got married, moved to suburban Maryland, and raised a family. I have learned some hard lessons in life, one of which was being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. One of the good lessons is that God works miracles through friends.
Ministry Area: Being in the front office at church as assistant secretary, I feel it is very important to be friendly and helpful to folks who come in. I feel my ministry service is compassion.
Family: I still have my parents, who live in Ohio. I have two beautiful daughters, Jacqui (25) recently married and living in New York City, and Dania (21) who is a senior at East Carolina University. I also have a darling (albeit stubborn) beagle named Jackson, who is the joy of my life.
Passion: Animals and nature
Favorite Pastime Activities: Riding the tallest roller coasters in the country, the favorite one being Millennium Force, with a first-drop of 310 feet! It is located at Cedar Point, Ohio. Other favorite activities include walking Jackson, and watching reruns of Seinfeld.
Little-Known Fact: I can “crow” like a rooster.
