My Story: My professional career was in education, where I spent 38 years as an elementary education teacher, supervisor and principal. I came to know Jesus as a child, with much influence from grandparents and parents. Ordained ministry was a consideration during my high school years, but God called me to influence young people and teachers as a leader in education. Following retirement some 12 years ago, I now have been called again by God and given the opportunity to be a disciple of Jesus in a new, exciting and different capacity as I serve Oakdale Emory as the Pastor of Membership and Fellowship.

Ministry Area: Membership and Fellowship

Family: Married to Margo Stevenson. Three grown and married sons, who have given us 8 wonderful grandchildren.

Passion: My passion is to live life in as energetic and creative way as possible, and to live every day so that I may follow Jesus as closely as possible. My passion is to be as fine an example as I can be to my sons, their wives and my grandchildren.

Favorite Pastime Activities: Golf, handyman activities, painting, furniture refinishing

Little-Known Fact: My secret desire is go back on the stage as an actor/singer/comedian or a combination of the above.
