Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina (really Mint Hill, but who knows where that is)

/files/ChurchGallery/Amy.jpgMy Story: My family and I came to Maryland eight years ago due to a job change. Before moving to the area, I taught school for 13 years and dabbled a little in retail management. I began at OE as a volunteer. Quickly realizing that I was “volunteering” in the wrong area, I asked to volunteer in another capacity. I also began to get involved in Bible studies and found being in God’s Word an increasingly important part of my life. God has continued to open doors for me to use my teaching experience and my love for His word at Oakdale. I love working here and am privileged to be one of His servants for OE and the Kingdom.

Ministry Area: Pastor of Adult Ministry

Family: My wonderful husband, Alan; my two spirited girls, Addison and Ally; a wild but lovable Jack Russell named Baxter; and our cat Jingle make up our fun and never-dull home.

Passion: God’s Word is my passion! I love hearing Him speak to me and I love to speak about His Word. Every moment that I turn to His Word, there is power and love and grace. I want everyone I come in contact with to know and experience that as well.

Favorite Pastime Activities:  I love to scrapbook, read, and walk with praise music. I love a good football game (especially if the Panthers are playing). 

Little-Know Fact: I used to work for Disney and am still considered somewhat of a “Disney Freak.”
